The Opening Day ceremony was held Saturday April 13th at the Barbour Field in City Park. It was a wet, chilly day but spirits were high among the hundreds of kids and parents who came out to celebrate the kick-off of regular season ball.

Check out photos from the event here http://goo.gl/E4qIg.

The first pitch of the season was thrown by Cory McColm, one of the youngest players in the league, assisted by 19yr old Keifer Jackson who’s belonged to the club for 15 years!

Notable highlights were Langley Mayor Fassbender on hand to greet the league players, parents and coaches. Thanks, Mayor Fassbender for being such a terrific Langley Baseball supporter!

Four new youth umpires received their blue shirts and acheived the ranks of District and Provincial Umpire Status. They’re now certified to officiate at district and provincial-level tournaments. Congratulations!

All right Langley Little League, the season’s now open! Let’s Play BALL!!!
