Langley Baseball operates a Majors division that has Tier 1 and Tier 2 levels for both age groups. The Tier 2 division is a great house program for players who want to play baseball but can only commit to 1-2 games and 1-2 practices per week. This division is ideal for players that are still developing skills and desire a less competitive environment. The Tier 1 division is for more experienced players who can commit to 2-3 games and 2-3 practices per week. Players should enjoy a competitive environment and be dedicated to improving their skills and game strategy. Parents should be aware there may be some travel and added expenses with play in the Tier 1 division.

Evaluations will take on a slightly different format this year. We’ll be restricting players to smaller groups and splitting them over four days at two separate facilities. We hope this new format will help us move the players through evaluation quickly and efficiently.

Saturday Location: Langley Christian Middle School, 22702 48 Ave, Langley BC
Sunday Location: The Armoury Baseball Academy
#103-19232 Enterprise Way, Surrey, BC

PLAYERS WILL BE ALLOCATED TO SPECIFIC TIME SLOTS SO PLEASE REGISTER IN ADVANCE FOR OUR 2015 REGULAR SEASON. ONCE REGISTERED YOU’LL BE CONTACTED BY AN EVALUATION COORDINATOR TO BOOK YOUR TIME SLOT.

Player Equipment Requirements:

All players will attend wearing:
a. long sleeve shirt and long pants
b. jock/jill athletic protector
c. non-marking footwear (NO CLEATS)
d. baseball glove
e. baseball helmet and bat (Only required on Sunday please do not bring them Saturday. We will have some bats on site so there’s no need to purchase one if you don’t already have one)
f. All players should bring something to drink as there is a high level of physical activity.

Attendance Requirements:

• All players are required to attend one Saturday session and one Sunday session (you will be contacted directly to select a time slot)
• Players are requested to arrive 15 minutes before evaluation times to register and warm up. This will be critical to our efforts to get the players in and out as fast as possible so please be on time.
• When you arrive please look for the sign in table and have your player sign in. Your player will be directed to a warm up area. We ask parents and siblings NOT to be in the evaluation room during evaluations. This eliminates congestion and addresses safety issues. You are welcome to use the upper level viewing room at LCS.

The evaluations will consist of different activities and will take approximately 1.5 hours. It’s not too late to register and be placed into an evaluation time slot. Please have interested players go to www.langleybaseball.ca and register today!
