Langley Baseball Awarded!

Posted by Langley Baseball Association on Aug 15 2016 at 04:15PM PDT

Langley Baseball is honoured to have been selected by Little League Canada as the host for the Intermediate National Tournament for ages 11 to 13 for the years 2017 thru 2019.

Our club has just completed its 57th year of Baseball in Langley under Little League and this will be a great boost for our club, especially in the 9 thru 12 age group. We have had constant growth over the last 4 years and this will only add to those numbers (this year 550 players from ages 4 to 19) and hopefully bring back more alumni players, as they are now dad’s and coaches.

Langley has a long tradition within our club and District in British Columbia, for playing and hosting in post season tournaments, as we have been fortunate to previously host Provincials and a National Tournament, our club has even seen some of our teams and umpires continue on and go to a World Series Tournament in one of the five divisions under Little League. We are the home field of the 2000 Big League World Series Champions.

I see the awarding of the Intermediate National Tournament, as catalyst to boost the numbers and the intensity of our players, parent membership and our City to host a great tournament.
